ChampionOctober 19, 2011
Today you are a champion. You and your soccer team won the local championship and ended the season at the highest point you could achieve—undefeated! A few short months ago we were discussing the grueling week-long evaluations that would determine whether you would be accepted as part of the team. You were accepted, and you excelled. It’s time to be unapologetically proud of yourself and your teammates.
Be proud that you worked hard enough to become a part of the team. Be proud that you worked with your team to accomplish a favorable result. Be proud that you are being a role model toward healthy bodies to girls who are younger than you.
Be humble in your winning, but be proud that you mapped your course and followed it. It’s okay. Be proud.
